The Word – Locked and Loathed

The Memphis Commercial Appeal newspaper decides to exercise its First Amendment right to publish public information. For no discernible reason — such as the public good — the newspaper publishes a database making it easy to find the names and addresses of concealed handgun permit holders.

Stephen Colbert offers his take on the situation in this segment titled “The Word – Locked and Loathed.”
